The European Parliament has reserved the right to challenge the legitmacy of the EU PNR-Australia agreement before the Court if a third party also feels that democratic legitimacy has not been respected. Once again, the European PArliament has not been consulted. If the Lisbon Treaty comes into effect, it has argued that all the PNR agreements concluded on a similar basis be submitted to MEPs.

The part of precarious forms of labour, the so called «bad jobs», increased rapidly in Germany during the last ten years, from 15% to 26% of all jobs. While the number of employed persons grew (mostly due to a high number of pensioners), it appears in the same time that bad jobs replaced traditionnal, stable jobs.

The main purpose of this paper is to better understand the political importance of the so-called G6 group that unites the Interior ministers of the six biggest EU member states. Furthermore, some of the implications of the Prüm Convention will be discussed, as the group of Prüm signatories has been compared elsewhere to the G6. However, this paper also hopes to contribute to the wider discussion of the phenomenon of ‘flexible integration’ in area of Justice and Home Affairs. Thus, after a brief historical overview of this issue, a relatively unknown theory of flexible integration will be presented, and briefly applied to the case of the Prüm Convention.

Im November 2006 publizierte die Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung die Studie «Vom Rand zur Mitte». In dieser Repräsentativbefragung wurde mit einem Fragebogen das Ausmaß rechtsextremer Einstellungen in Deutschland erhoben. Erneut unter der wissenschaftlichen Leitung der Leipziger Wissenschaftler Dr. Oliver Decker und Prof. Dr. Elmar Brähler ist nun eine Nachfolgestudie im Auftrag der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung entstanden, die die Frage nach den Ursachen für rechtsextreme Einstellungen vertieft behandelt.

La Halde a remis son rapport sur les discriminations à l’emploi, basé sur 20 entreprises et 1500 offres. Le taux de discrimination statistiquement établi est de 23% moins de chances pour les candidats présentant des origines africaines ou arabes et de 42% pour les plus de 45 ans. L’enterprise la plus discriminante est une filiale d’ACCOR.
